Ridge Vent Installation Instructions

1)
                                       
Snap a chalk line on both sides of the 
ridge no more than 2 cm from the peak.

2)

 

Cut along both chalk lines to
the end, remove roof sheathing.
Note: Slot should not be cut
closer than 30 cm from a gable
end, hip or intersecting ridge.

3)

Use 6.4 cm roofing nails. Anchor the
vent through the nail line at the 4
corners only. Nail each additional section
until the ridge is covered                                                      4)

Install new ridge cap in normal manner
using 6.4 cm roofing nails. Nailing
the ridge caps through the vent
along the nailing line will secure the vent.

It's that easy to have an evenly ventilated attic space!
